Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 21, 2026

1. Who we are

HomeProHunter ("HomeProHunter," "we," "us," or "our") operates homeprohunter.com (the "Site"), a service that connects homeowners who request home improvement quotes with third-party contractors and home-services companies ("Partners"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, postal/ZIP code, and details about your home improvement project (project type, timeline, property details, and similar answers you give in our quote forms).

Information collected automatically: IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, referring URLs, and interactions with our forms, collected via cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (including Meta Pixel and Google Analytics). We also capture consent metadata such as the date, time, IP address, and the consent language shown to you, and a TrustedForm certificate.

Information from third parties: advertising and analytics partners may provide click identifiers and campaign data (e.g., gclid, fbclid, UTM parameters).

3. How we use your information

  • To match you with Partners and facilitate quote requests.
  • To contact you (and have Partners contact you) about your request, by phone, text, and email, consistent with the consent you provided.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site and our advertising.
  • To comply with legal obligations and maintain records of consent.

4. How we sell and share your information

We sell and share the information you submit to Partners. When you submit a quote request, we transfer your contact and project information to one or more Partners (and to lead-distribution platforms that route it to Partners) so they can contact you. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar state laws, this constitutes a "sale" and/or "sharing" of personal information. The categories of information sold/shared are identifiers and your project details. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16.

You can opt out at any time — see Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. A current list of the Partner categories that may receive your information is available on our Partners page.

We also share information with service providers (hosting, analytics, communications, compliance/scrubbing vendors) who process it on our behalf, and as required by law.

5. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request deletion or correction of your personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing. To exercise your rights, use Do Not Sell or Share, Unsubscribe, or email privacy@homeprohunter.com. We will verify your request as required by law and respond within the timeframes those laws require.

California, Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and other state residents: the CCPA/CPRA, Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), and comparable laws grant the rights above, including the right to appeal a denied request. You may also designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf.

6. Communications & consent

By submitting a quote request and checking the consent box, you authorize HomeProHunter and matched Partners to contact you at the number and email provided — including by autodialed and prerecorded calls and text messages — about your project. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You may revoke consent at any time via Unsubscribe, by replying STOP to texts, or by emailing stop@homeprohunter.com.

7. Data retention

We retain lead and consent records for as long as necessary for our business and legal purposes, including defending against claims — generally at least five years, consistent with applicable statutes of limitations.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect or sell their personal information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, and we will update the "Last updated" date above.
